Day 273 Banned Books week

{273:365} The freedom to read
This week is banned books week. reading is something that I've enjoyed since as far as I can remember, even before I could read on my own, there was the best feeling I had when my mom would read to me. My mom was open minded yet strict and sadly banned some books from my life, due to her religious or as we like to call it misguided belief...she didn't allow me to read a few books, when she later realized keeping me from reading something and making my own choice was just not having faith in the way she raised me. It contradicted how she wanted me to be.

I find it rather sad that people challenge books to be banned. Looking at the lists of top 100 books that have been challenged from 1990-1999, here is the lists and the ones marked out, are the ones I've read
